ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAM (AFMC)

INTRODUCTION OF AFMC:

AFMC is one of the pioneer institutes in India which is acknowledged for providing excellent education and research. The college provides training to under graduate and graduate for medical and nursing services.

The institute came into existence by passing an act in parliament in the year 1948 which was recommended by BC Roy committee.

The students who are studying in this institute are assured of a job in Indian defense services. Due to this many people are striving hard to get an admission in this premier institute.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The candidates are selected through the following procedure:

• Preliminary written test will be conducted in all over India nearly having all major cities as centre
• The selected candidates will be called upon for interview and candidates are selected according to their performance in that interview.
• No traveling allowances will be provided for the candidates in either level of entrance exams.

Entrance Examination Date : 1st week of May, 2011
Availability of application forms :  3rd week of December, 2010 to last week of January, 2011
Last date of submission of application form : 1st week of February, 2011
Interviews :  June, 2011
