ALL INDIA BAR EXAMINATION (AIBE)

• The AIBE entrance exam should be attended by all candidates for are aspiring to be an advocate in India. This entrance exam happens twice in a year in the month of April and November.
• The significance of this entrance exam is it is an open book exam. The students can bring their study materials and hand written notes to the exam hall. This exam emphasis on the mental ability rather than the applicant’s memory capacity.
• The main aim of this exam is to set the criteria for being eligible to be an advocate. Another feature of this exam there is no merit or rank based on the entrance exam. This exam just says whether the candidate has cleared or failed in the entrance.

PROCEDURE TO AVAIL THE APPLICATIONS:

• The applications can be availed either by making a request to All India Bar examination or it will be available in all state bar councils.
• The application fee of Rs.1300/- should pay along for study materials while availing the application form.
• As on date there is no online registration for applying to AIBE exam but efforts are taken to do so and hopefully it will be completed within upcoming year.

POINTS OF REMEMBER:

• The medium of instructions will be in 9 languages, candidates can choose accordingly.
• The examination centers will be in major cities of India
• Candidates can appear for AIBE exam as many times he / she can, as such there are no restrictions.
• The application will be available in the month of July till September.
• The study materials will be distributed to applicants from the month of August till November

NOTE:

• The candidates are required to score minimum marks of 31 in category 1 and 9 marks in category 2. Even though this will be finalized by the expert committee
