INDIAN ISTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (IITJEE)

• This entrance exam is conducted by Indian Institute of technology (IIT) one of the premier institutes in country to admit the candidates for undergraduate courses for 8 IIT zones across India.
• The candidate must be born on or before 1^st October 1986 if the candidates need to be eligible for IITJEE exam this year.
• The candidate must have complete 12^th standard and secured 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry & mathematics.
• If the candidates belongs to SC/ST minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry & mathematics is mandatory.
• The application can be availed by logging into website of IIt or www.jee.iitb.ac.in
• The applications will be avail offline in prescribed banks across India.
• The examination fee is Rs.900/- for general & Rs.450/- for SC/ST/ Female candidates if application is availed through Online mode.
• If application is through Offline mode, then the examination fee is Rs.1000/- for general & Rs.500/- for SC/ST/ Female candidates
• Kindly note that a candidates can attempt only 2 consecutive times i.e. if candidates takes exam in 2010 & he/ she can attempt on 2011 as their final try.
• The applications will be available in the month of November till mid of December
• The last date of receipt of application is last week of December
• The exam will be conducted in the month of April.
• The examination consists of 2 papers namely Paper 1 & paper 2
• The duration of each paper is 180 Minutes.
• Both the papers consist of Objective questions with multiple choices.
• Kindly note negative marking is applicable in this exam.
• The medium of Instruction will be either English or Hindi as per candidate’s preferences.
• If the candidates have eye problems, then they can request to examination wing, so that question paper with 20% enlarged font size will be provided to them.
• The seats will be allocated as per the reservation norms and merit list.
• The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
