NERIST ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (NEE)
- This exam is conducted in North eastern states of India to admit candidates in various degree / diploma courses.
- The applications will be available in the month of February in various directorates of Higher education & Branches of Axis bank in north eastern states.
- The last date for receipt of application will be in the month of March & exam will be conducted in various cities of North eastern states of India.
- The examination fee is Rs.750/- for general category & Rs.400/- for SC/ST candidates.
- The fees can be paid through demand draft in the favour of “The Member Secretary, NEE”.
- The NEE exam is of three types Namely NEE 1, NEE 2 & NEE 3
NEE 1:
- For NEE 1 the candidate must be minimum 19 years of age in case of general category, 22 years for OBC & female candidates & 24 years in case of SC / ST candidates.
- The candidates must completed 12th standard in science stream.
- The candidates waiting for their result & going to appear for final examination are also eligible to take up this examination.
- The examination will take place in the month of May & total number of seats available is 200 seats.
- The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
- The pattern of the examination is as follows:

NEE 2:
- For NEE 2 the candidate must be maximum 23 years of age in case of general category, 26 years for OBC & female candidates & 28 years in case of SC / ST candidates.
- The candidates must completed 12th standard in science stream.
- The examination will take place in the month of April & total number of seats available is 30 seats.
- The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
- The pattern of the examination is as follows:

- For engineering all part are mandatory & for forestry science part A, B, & D are mandatory
NEE 3:
- For NEE 3 the candidate must be maximum 40 years of age in case of general category, 43 years for OBC & female candidates & 45 years in case of SC / ST candidates.
- The candidates must complete their diploma with minimum 60% marks.
- The examination will take place in the month of April & total number of seats available is 172 seats.
- The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
- It consists of 2 sections namely section A & B
- The section A consists of 3 sub sections as follows:
