NATIONAL ENTRANCE SCREENING TEST (NEST)

• This exam is conducted by National Institute of Science Education & research for admitting students in their colleges of Mumbai & Bhubaneswar.
• The candidates must completed 12^th standard with minimum 60% marks in Science stream for general Category & 55 % of marks in case of SC/ST/PH candidates.
• The candidates must be born on or after 1^st October 1986 in order to take up this exam.
• There will be 5 years of relaxation in SC/ST/ candidates.
• The candidates who are appearing in final examination of 12^th or candidates who are waiting for their results are also eligible to take up this exam.
• The applications will be available in the month of January till mid week of February.
• The last date for receipt of applications will be in the month of March
• The exam will be conducted in the month of May.
• The results will be announced in the month of June in Institutes website.
• The applications can be availed by sending a request to “Chief Coordinator, Bhubaneswar”.
• The applications can be availed by online by logging into http://nestexam.in
• The examination fee is Rs.600/- for male candidates & Rs.300/- for SC/ST/PH/ Female candidates.
• The fees can be paid by sending a demand draft in favour of “NEST (Year)” payable at Bhubaneswar.
• The questions will be asked form 12^th standard CBSE syllabus.
• The negative marking is applicable in this exam.
• The medium of instruction will be English.
• The examination is  divided into 5 sections as follows:

I. General Studies,

II. Biology,

III. Chemistry

IV. Mathematics

V. Physics.
